The meaning of Ping's name

Because all this is His mark of grace and glory, I want to write it down. If possible, I would like to show this to Ping in the future.

Ping’s full name is “Chin Ping“. “Ping” literally means “apple” in Mandarin. The deeper meaning of “Ping” is that our pastor saw the salvation from God on our beloved baby girl, and her face is healthily red as an apple, showing she is a grace from God. “Chin” means “soaking” in Mandarin. By giving her this name “Chin Ping", we declare that Ping is soaked in God's grace. Besides, in written character, “Chin” means the bless for her heart, and also the ranking of her generation in our family.

Ping's open heart surgery has been completed for eleven days, ECMO removal surgery has been done for six days. Lately, we really have seen God’s work, and also how terrific Ping is! These days, Ping’s oxygen concentration has been virtually between 83 to 95% (both in the safe range), and the concentration of oxygen supply from the respirator has reduced from 100% five days ago to 50% today, which indicates Ping’s cardiopulmonary function is in progress. The doctor feels that the whole situation is better than expected, and Ping is no longer classified as “terminally ill"!

During the past six days, Ping has had the partially closing-up-sternum surgery for two times. Her chest open is probably only about one-third of the previous, and the doctor thinks if the situation is good and stable, maybe the day after tomorrow he will completely close up her sternum! Praise the Lord! After completely closing up her sternum, it is also needed to be able to stop the use of nitric oxide (for helping her cardio vascular dilate well) and reduce (or even totally stop) the use of the cardiac. If so, the second phase of Ping’s recovery would be considered completed.

Due to the complex in Ping’s situation (problems with heart and lungs at the same time), it is not easy to estimate when she could leave ICU , but we still pray for her because we know that no matter what the next development is, God will arrange the best for Ping!

Finally, at the prayer meeting last evening, I had a moving that I need to apologize to my body because I have been too harsh on it lately, so I said sorry to my body in prayer. I also apologized to God because my body is His temple as well, but I have overused it. Then I declared my body will be rehabilitated! After the prayer meeting, I came home (not the hospital), took a hot shower and a nice sleep. And voila! Here comes the sharing about Ping in English! ^_^
